The show bread is a picture of Jesus, the living bread, who brings us into the Holy of Holies, into the presence of the Lord.
Feeding on Jesus the living bread is having fellowship with Him in prayer, in Bible study, in fellowship with other believers, remembering Him in the breaking of bread and feeding on Him in our hearts as we’re thankful for all He has done for us.
He is the sacrifice and the burnt offering that takes away our sin. He is a laver that washes us in regeneration to new life in the Holy Spirit.
He is the light of the world in the lampstand. He is the bread of life of the show bread, and the object of our praise and prayer in the incense altar, all of which leads us into the Holy of Holies where the presence of the Lord is, the Ark of the Covenant, the Mercy Seat, and the way in which we can come to God and God can come to us.
