Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem – Andy Coomar

P

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord.”
Our feet have been standing Within your gates, O Jerusalem!

Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord;

Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications.

If You, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared.

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.

6 My soul waits for the Lord More than those who watch for the morning— Yes, more than those who watch for the morning.

7 O Israel, hope in the Lord; For with the Lord there is mercy, And with Him is abundant redemption.

And He shall redeem Israel From all his iniquities.

Psalm 130

22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honour into it. 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honour of the nations into it. 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you.

Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces.”

For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, “Peace be within you.”

Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek your good.

Psalm 122.1-9

34 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! Luke 13.34-35

12 ‘For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. 13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.
