I just want to go back to the COVID and the economic situation.
I heard recently a talk by a man called Ernst Wolff, a German (the talk was in German). You can get it on the internet. It helps that it has subtitles under it.
He’s described as a finance author, journalist, and author.
As far as I know he’s not a Christian, in fact his solution was a humanistic one but when I heard him speaking, I thought I was hearing somebody telling me what’s going to happen according to Revelation.
His description of events fitted in with what I can see taking place in the last days in relation to the financial world as we have it in Revelation chapter 17 and chapter 13.
In Revelation 17, we read about “seven kings” and the “ten horns” and it says:
12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. 14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of Lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, ‘chosen, and faithful’.”
Revelation 17.12-14
Revelation speaks about ten horns. A ‘horn’ in the Bible speaks about political power which is raised up; it’s kings in the Old Testament or some political authority.
It may be that it’s speaking about 10 nations, and some have noticed that these days people are talking about a ‘D10’ group to replace the ‘G7’ which would include Australia. You’ve probably noticed the current situation between the UK and Australia.
Whatever it is, 10 will give their power to the beast. It doesn’t necessarily have to be 10 nations but perhaps 10 powerful men representing corporations or power bases in the world who give their power to the Antichrist or the beast who comes at the end of days.
In Revelation 13, we’re told that behind them is “the dragon” who is Satan, who gives his power to the beast. The beast then takes control over the earth.
It says:
7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Revelation 13.7-8
He has a sidekick called the “false prophet” who makes an image of the beast and tells people to worship the image of the beast and, in verse 16 it says:
16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.
Revelation 13.16-18
The Bible says that, in the end times, there’s going to be a world system in which a powerful ruler will come about. He’ll have control over the world and, particularly, over the financial world. He’ll bring in a world system in which you can’t buy or sell unless you have his authorization, which you will get from receiving a mark which in turn will give you the right to buy and sell.
It’s been a great subject of speculation down through the ages how this could come about. How could you get to a one-world political and economic system?
I still have questions about it even after listening to Mr Wolff speaking but I’ll just tell you some of the things he says.
He asks questions about what’s happening in our world. Where the developed Western economies are going. He warns about the coming financial collapse of the nations, leading to a one-world digital currency controlled by central banks and government.

I find it a fascinating talk.
I’ll quote you some of the things he said:
“The Covid crisis is being manipulated through series of lockdowns leading to severe economic crisis. Global logistics are on the floor, supply chains are broken, harvests are being lost, there are food supply bottlenecks and, on top of this, we are seeing a scarcity of vital semiconductors. The problems are not being addressed and solved but multiplied and magnified by the application of further measures and continued, constant threats of new restrictions.
The middle class is being driven to the wall, there is a worldwide inflation crisis, a shortage of raw materials and food leading to rising prices. The flood of money printing goes on and will even be further increased. States and central banks have thrown at the crisis almost 20 trillion USD into the worldwide monetary system. The IMF, the most powerful financial organisation in the world, will give out next Monday 650 billion USD, the largest amount ever of its own currency.
In the USA, the richest nation in the world, nearly 4 million people are threatened with eviction because they cannot pay their rent. And almost 10 times as many are not in a position to feed themselves from their own income. We’re seeing the intentional destruction of the economy and the rising of inflation.”

Here in the UK, we’re facing energy and food crises, possible shortages of power and food this winter, price rises, and the suspension of the £20 Universal Credit likely to drive the poor to the wall.
Wolff says all this is deliberate. Therefore, you ask the question: Who has an interest in this crisis? And, who profits from it? Who does it do good to?
He says that the biggest profiteer of the current crisis is the digital financial complex at the top of which are the biggest I.T. companies and the largest asset managers of our time.
So, who are they?
He speaks about Apple, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and Facebook. He says that the capitalization of these three five companies alone amounts to an incredible 9.1 trillion U.S. dollars. The GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of Germany, France and Italy is 8.6 trillion dollars, so they have more capital than France, Germany, and Italy put together.
Along with these digital companies, you also have the largest asset managers BlackRock, Vanguard, State Street, and Fidelity. These four companies alone manage a total of 220 trillion U.S. dollars. The GDP of 28 EU countries last year amounted to 15 trillion dollars, so, about a 15th of the amount these companies manage.
Also, they have the power to organize the digital systems of other businesses and dominate them. The largest of them, BlackRock, supplies them with the data analysis system Aladdin Data Control, the greatest fund and financial information system the world has ever seen.
BlackRock uses this information to advise the largest central banks in the world, the U.S. Federal Reserve, and the European Central Bank.
Through the huge information advantage BlackRock has, it’s clear who is dependent upon whom. I hope you’re not too bored by this financial information because I’m going to come to something quite interesting in a moment.
This digital financial complex is the global power centre which drives everything. It stands far above all governments and is ready at all times to bring every government in the world to its knees and make it compliant.
So, we have a question: what is its advantage? What would its advantage be in bringing the system down?
I’ll just read what Wolff says:
“What we experience at this time is a gigantic act of desperation, perhaps the biggest that has ever occurred in the whole history of mankind. This act of desperation is at the point in which the digital financial complex to which it owes its existence can no longer be kept alive with the previous business model. In other words, there’s something in it which means it’s going to crash, whatever happens.
It was very close to its demise during the world financial crisis of 2007-2008. If governments, back then, had not mobilized huge amounts of tax money and central banks instructed the creation of vast amounts of money, the system would have collapsed there and then.”

The salvation was only temporary. The amounts of money had to be continuously supplied and increased over the last 12 years. In March last year, the next collapse threatened. Do you remember what else happened in March last year? It was the beginning of the lockdowns.
They then did two things:
- they reduced based rate interest to 0.1 percent (near zero),
- they also injected further billions of dollars into the system.
Wolff says this is the last time they can do this and that, if you have any further reduction of interest rates, they go to ‘below zero’.
If interest rates go to ‘below zero’, then the banking system collapses, which means you’ve got to pay money to put your money into the bank.
So, if you’ve got to pay money to put your money in the bank, what do you do? You might take it out again.
If everyone takes it out, you have a ‘bank run’ and the banks collapse.
Therefore, interest rates going into zero or negative rates is a dangerous situation. He says this means that using this approach – lowering interest rates – will not be possible again.
He also says this is the last time they can inject billions and billions of dollars into the system creating money because it’s now going to create massive inflation as a result of which money will lose its value.
So, on both counts, Wolff says it’s the last time they can save the situation. The next time it happens, it crashes. Then you’ve got two choices, both of which are disastrous: negative interest rates or hyperinflation.
Can you work out what he’s saying? Hopefully you get the point.
That means that, historically, he says we’ve arrived at a point in which the existing system has the choice between two forms of collapse.
What’s to be done? Wolff says they need to instil a new system and somehow keep profiting from it.
That’s exactly what we’ve seen since March 2020: the quite deliberate and pre-meditated destruction of the world economy, the exclusive expansion of the rigid digital financial complex with the simultaneous preparations by the central banks of a new system in collaboration with the I.T. corporations.
We already know how this system will look. It’s about a complete removal of cash and banks in their previous form and the introduction of digital money from the central banks.
The end goal as it appears, is that every one of us will have one single account through which all transactions will run. The account will not reside in the business, ‘high street’ bank but with the central bank.
He says there’s great advantages to the system because this way, they can raise unlimited money out of nothing, they can operate with negative interest rates without destroying the system. It also allows the government to watch over all transactions made. They can assign to us various tax rates and impose upon us individual fines if we don’t do what they want.
You can end up with a credit control system as you have in China.
At the end of that, the state will be in a position to cancel our ability to make all transactions with a single mouse click and so shut us down financially.
If they cancel all transactions, what have they done? They’ve stopped you being able to buy and sell.
Wolff says digital central bank money will be the most efficient tax collection method for society that has ever occurred in the whole history of humanity and with that, we’ll have nothing more and nothing less than the realization of an all-encompassing dictatorship brought about through money.
That’s what he’s saying it’s not what I’m saying. I don’t know anything about this but what he was saying to me made sense.
He then raises another interesting question. Wolff asks: what happens if people rebel against it and there is then huge social unrest, even revolution against it?
I’ll read what he says:
“This is exactly the problem which the digital financial complex has obviously thought about. So, they won’t introduce the digital central bank first and then risk great social unrest. They will do it the other way around. They will drive society into chaos in order to present the digital central bank as a solution to all problems in the form of a universal basic income.”
Do you get that? They will drive society into chaos first in order to present the digital central bank as a solution to all problems in the form of a universal basic income.
Under the pretext of fighting an illness, devastating and irreparable damages have been done to people’s health, economy, and finances whose full effects are only beginning to show up.
All this is leading purposefully in one direction. It will result in social unrest possibly civil war on a worldwide scale.
“Today we’re experiencing that, by using all conceivable means, they’re trying to create the maximum social chaos and, at the high point of this chaos, bring in the ‘panacea’: the universal basic income, and, in this way, fix the problem. From maximum chaos to maximum control.”
When people get to the point of desperation, someone comes in and says “yeah, we got the answer here. don’t panic! We’ll give you this universal basic income.”
And supposing the man comes along and sets this up and says,
“I’m your leader now. You have to give your allegiance to me if you want to benefit from it.” Is that how it could come about?
Well, I’ll leave that one with you but it’s interesting.
Ernst Wolff also mentions Klaus Schwab. He says that if you read Klaus Schwab’s book which is called ‘The Great Reset’ and was published in June 2020 (four months after the world-wide lockdown) this gives exact instructions on how one should use COVID19 to both creatively destroy the world and build up a new world in the image that Schwab proposes.
He says this is reminiscent of the darkest times of national socialism and sounds shockingly like a carefully prepared apocalypse.
Take away people’s freedom to travel, their rights of association, free speech, their freedom to express opinions. In the process, condemn more than 100 million people to starvation, allegedly for their own protection. That’s basically Wolff’s thesis. He says a bit more about it but I won’t go into it because time’s going on.
What he said to me made sense. I don’t know if it makes sense to you, but when you look at what’s taking place, if it is all an accident, then forget it. But if there are people planning this and working on it, and they have a plan to resolve it, then you’re seeing the plan which could lead up to the fulfilment of Revelation 13 and Revelation 17.
Wolff says that this plan is doomed to fail, that the most important thing is that the narrative of the deadly virus cannot be sustained in the long run. He believes that the pack of lies is collapsing on all sides.
Do you think the reaction of a people will see the truth, that it will ‘bring the house of cards down’ in some form of revolution against it?
I think he’s probably wrong in this because they will succeed, because it seems that they’re planning something which ties in with what the Bible says will happen in the last days.
And, if that’s the case, then it’s another sign that we’re living in the last days before Jesus returns.
Does that fill you with fear and dread or does it fill you with hope because it means that Jesus is coming and there is a great hope for those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ?
We have to ask the question: how do we prepare ourselves? If the rapture is coming, then we prepare ourselves simply by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ to be ready for his return.
If some of these things begin to happen before the rapture, then we need to think about how we’re going to survive, and we do need to be looking out for one another and working on some way to keep ourselves going in this time. We need to have a plan; in effect I mean: how do we deal with our own finances? I mean I don’t know the answer to that.
We have to be asking God for what to do, and we need to know how we are going to cope in this time. We can hope that it won’t happen this winter, but we’re seeing things taking place now, which are pushing the world in this direction.
And we can see that if we take the Bible seriously, and we take what’s happening in the world seriously, they’re all coming together and they’re all pointing at the fact that Jesus is coming.
As I said at the beginning, if you take Jesus out of the picture, then there’s no hope for the future: we’re living on a doomed planet, in a doomed civilization which is going to fall apart sooner or later.
If Jesus is coming, then there is a tremendous hope. It’s a tremendous hope for those who believe in Him.
16 “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, 17 Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow. 18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. 19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land; 20 But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword”; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
Isaiah 1.16-20
We have a hope that He’s going to be with us now, even to the end of the age. Therefore, no matter what difficulties we face, we can cast our cares on Him and know that He cares for us, we can seek Him for wisdom, to know how to deal with these situations, we can ask Him what to do with our lives right now, and how to use the time that remains to serve Him.
We can also have that blessed hope that He’s going to step into history and sort out the bad guys, and bring deliverance to the good guys.
The great answer is that, in the end, we win; that Jesus is coming, and that, when He comes, those who believe in Him are going to be with Him for all eternity.
It’s going to be a glorious future and glorious hope.
According to the Bible, Jesus is going to come back first to take the church to be with Himself: our bodies are going to be changed like unto His glorious body.
20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.
Philippians 3.20-21
According to my understanding, we come back with Jesus in new bodies at the time of the Second Coming to the earth when He will defeat the powers of darkness. The Antichrist and the false prophet will be thrown straight into the pit. The devil will be thrown into the pit and will be unable to influence the nations anymore.
Then, Jesus is going to rule over the earth during the thousand-year period which we call the Millennial Kingdom.
“The stone will smite the image” of Daniel chapter 12 when the stone will fill the earth so “the earth will be full of the knowledge of the glory of God as the waters cover the sea”. Revelation 11 says that “the kingdoms of this world will become the Kingdom of our God, of His Christ and He will reign forever and ever.”
If you believe the Bible, then the person of Jesus Christ who came the first time to suffer and to die, to rise again from the dead, is going to come the second time. This time, to judge the world in righteousness and to take up His rule on the earth for a thousand years.
The beast has his reign which lasts, at the most, for seven years, then he ends up in the lake of fire. Jesus comes back and He reigns for a thousand years, which is a prelude to the eternal state in which we will be with Him in eternity.
Whose side you do you want to be on? No question really, is there? The only answer is Jesus because He’s the one who’s going to win.
But, in the meantime, we must recognize that we live in those perilous times before His return which He spoke about, and that we see the signs of His Second Coming round about us.
I’m not sure how much of Ernst Wolff’s analysis of how it’s going to come about is accurate. To me, it has the ring of truth, of a man who knows what’s going on and can see what’s happening. What he said does fit in with how I see the Antichrist coming to power.
Obviously, the Antichrist has not yet come to power. So, everything we say here must be, in one sense, slightly speculative.
But the Bible says that the man of sin is coming and that he will have power over the nations for a brief time. As I said: “for a brief time”. Jesus will reign for a long time. Therefore, be on His side, trust in Jesus. He has the answer, and He is our hope, amen. Amen, praise the Lord

We thank you for your word. We thank you that it is the truth. We thank you for the hope that we have in Jesus, and we thank you that, though we see the perilous times in which we live, and we see great darkness coming on the earth, we see evil men going forward with plans which are
totally contrary to your plan, Lord, we know that they will have their day when they will have to give account to you of what they’ve done and they will have to bow their knee to Jesus, and recognize that Jesus Christ is Lord.
But in the meantime, we pray that we may be ready for Your return. That we may, each one of us, accept Jesus as Saviour and be ready for Jesus to come and to take us to be with Himself. And we thank you Lord for the help we have in you and pray that you bless us and keep us and give us your peace. In Jesus’ name, amen.
