I went into, I think, three stores: Tesco’s, Sainsbury’s, and finally B&Q.
Every time I went in, there was a message came over the tannoy saying how we should celebrate Gay Pride Month and how wonderful it is to have homosexuality as part of our culture.
The last time in B&Q’s I actually exploded with wrath and I said, “Shut up. I don’t want to hear homosexual propaganda. I want to do some shopping here!” I probably reacted rather ‘in the flesh’, but that was just how I felt.
And as I came out, I felt the Lord said, “The writing’s on the wall.” The writing’s on the wall.
That’s a picture actually from Christian Concern of Oxford Street or maybe Regent Street. I’m not sure. One of our main streets anyway, with the Gay Pride flag and also with the transgender bit on the side there alongside the Union Jack to celebrate Gay Pride Month.
Why do we have to have a month to celebrate homosexuality? Do we have a month to celebrate normal sexuality? No.
But I think we in fact have two. We have another month for gay history month. And it’s part of the craziness of our society. I said it reminds me of the passage in the Book of Daniel, which I’m sure you’re familiar with, the Writing on the Wall.
