The US elections and our beliefs

T

And it’s not just happening here of course, you have the US election now.

The US election is also raising some of these issues. Apparently, the outcome is very close to call at the moment. They’ve called Trump a fascist. Now, Trump is not a very nice man but he’s definitely not a fascist.

I’ve studied the history of that time, of fascism, and I know what it was like to be a victim. Not I, not personally, but I know from reading what it was like to be a victim of fascist States in Nazi Germany and Italy’s Mussolini. And what Trump is doing is nothing like that.

He may be right-wing, he may not like uncontrolled immigration, he may want to put a stop to it, but he’s not a fascist. Actually, the powers that be, especially the World Economic Forum crowd, don’t want Trump to win the election because he doesn’t want uncontrolled immigration, he’s not onside with the climate change agenda, he’s against the Iran nuclear deal which Obama put forward, and he’s also a proven friend of Israel.

Trump is against the woke agenda which I’ve just described. On the other hand, Kamala Harris is totally for it, as is her running mate Tim Walz. He is the Governor of Minnesota and he has proposed legislation in Minnesota by which schools will effectively ban practicing Christians, Jews, and Muslims for teaching in public schools.

How is he going to do that? Starting next July, Minnesota agencies controlled by Walz’s appointees will require training teachers to affirm transgenderism and Critical Race Theory which is basically Cultural Marxism, before being granted a licence to teach. If they don’t affirm that, they won’t be able to teach, they won’t get a teaching licence, they won’t be able to teach in public schools and nor will they able to teach in private schools that require such licences.

They’re also requiring existing teachers to renew their licenses every 5 years, and to make the same affirmation. Can you see what that means? It means that everyone who gets a job as a teacher has got to tow the line on this agenda, the woke agenda. They have to affirm transgenders and all that stuff, to support the Critical Race Theory, that is, to believe that everything that comes out of white civilization is bad and put down ‘the whites’ all the time.

A lot of bad things did come out of ‘white society’, but there’s a lot of manipulation in all of this, and it certainly doesn’t help ‘the black community’, it just encourages more racial prejudice and hatred on both sides. But it’s happening there and it is pushing towards a kind of anti-Christian society.

Now Kamala Harris certainly has some views which she’s putting across.

If you heard her speak, the one thing which she seems to get excited about is ‘abortion rights’. I haven’t heard her speak about much else actually. She gets really passionate about affirming the right of women to kill their babies before they’re born. And she’s passionate about it. She wants see the right to kill babies restored to us.

I saw a video from Jonathan Cahn, a Jewish Messianic who was speaking about Kamala Harris’ rally in the context of abortion, i.e. killing babies. She said:

We will go forward towards because ours is a fight for the future and for Freedom like the fundamental freedom of women to make decisions about their own body.

US Vice-President Kamala Harris

She also said to remember that Donald Trump hand-selected three members of the Supreme Court with the intention they would undo the protections of Roe v. Wade, which they did. He ended Roe v. Wade, a law that allowed abortion on demand.

This law, which Trump didn’t bring to the Supreme Court actually restricted some abortion rights not all.

Harris uses very specious arguments about ‘a woman’s right to choose to abort the baby’ being about ‘making a decision about her own body’. Is that the case?

Actually, the child in the womb has no choice in this matter. From the moment of conception which happens as a result of sexual intercourse between a man and a woman, the two parties do have a choice over whether they’re going to do it or not, apart from in cases of rape of course.

But once sexual intercourse has taken place and, if the child is conceived, then that child is conceived as a separate person from either the father or the mother and lives in the mother’s womb. The baby has its own genetic code. S/he is to be born roughly 9 months later after conception, and will then exist as a separate human being from its mother.

The Bible shows that the baby in the womb is already a person distinct from the mother. Jeremiah chapter 1 says that the Lord says to Jeremiah,

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

Jeremiah 1

In other words, from the moment he was in his mother’s womb, he was called as a prophet.

In Luke chapter 1, John the Baptist is filled with the Spirit from his mother’s womb and we read how Mary, who’s just been impregnated by the Holy Spirit with the Lord Jesus in her womb goes to visit Elizabeth who is already 6 months pregnant with John and how John leaps in his mother’s womb because he recognizes that Jesus has come into the room.

39 Now Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah, 40 and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. 41 And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. 45 Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfilment of those things which were told her from the Lord.” Luke 1.39-45

This a pretty remarkable piece of theology because the Holy Spirit bears witness to Jesus. The Holy Spirit is in Jesus, the Holy Spirit is in John and when Jesus the Messiah comes into the room and John recognizes Jesus through the Holy Spirit, this shows you that John, at 6 months in his mother’s womb, is alive; he is a person already in the womb.

And the Bible is very clear that it is not a fetus as we understand it today (the word ‘fetus’ actually means ‘the young in the womb or egg‘) , it’s not a thing which you can dispose of, it’s already a

separate person in your womb and, if you become pregnant as a woman you have to carry it through until the birth of the child no matter what your circumstances, and look after that child, and love it and help it to grow as a person who God loves.

Now, as Kamala Harris was giving her talk on this and talking about ‘Reproductive Rights’ as a un fundamental freedom, a woman’s right to choose, a couple of Christian students in the audience shouted out: ‘Jesus is Lord’ and ‘Christ is King’. They didn’t shout it out very disruptively, but they shouted out loud enough to be heard by Harris.

And she turned to them, mocked them and said: you guys are at the wrong rally you should go to the smaller rally down the road down the street by which she meant Trump’s rally. She was mocking them for saying ‘Jesus is Lord’ and was implying that ‘you don’t belong here’. One of the students then held up a cross and she looked at him and gave an evil smirk. He said the crowd then cheered on the mocking of ‘Jesus is Lord’ and the students themselves got shouted at and pushed, assaulted, heckled and mocked, and eventually pushed out of the rally.

Jonathan Cahn says they shouted out ‘Jesus is Lord’ and made a small protest at the Kamala Harris rally which is encouraging the murder of babies in the womb and where she said ‘You’re at the wrong rally’.

Now think about it. The Spirit of God says ‘Jesus is Lord’. And Harris says that the Spirit doesn’t belong at her rally.

Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12.3

What spirit is it to come against ‘Jesus is Lord’? It’s the spirit of Antichrist; the spirit that says ‘You guys are at the wrong rally, go to Donald Trump’s rally. Not here, we don’t believe ‘Jesus is Lord’, we don’t want you here if you believe in Jesus‘.

And this is part of the apostasy which is taking place in our society. They don’t want you if you believe in Jesus, if you say that Jesus is Lord, ‘you’re a nuisance, you’re disturbing the peace, get out, we don’t want you here, you’re not welcome, you have no place in our society‘.

I would say that the most dangerous kind of society is not one which is born Antichrist, it’s one which becomes Antichrist, one which has been Christian then becomes non-Christian, then becomes anti-Christian, which is what we’re seeing in the western world, in America, in Britain today.

We have to see whether it’s going to come to Donald Trump or Kamala Harris as President, but it’s going to be an interesting thing. If Harris does win, it will accelerate the process in the United States towards this woke agenda opposing Christ.

More and more people will be heard saying ‘if you say Jesus is Lord, you’re not welcome here. Get out’. And the West is heading for a decline and fall because of this.
