11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS.
I believe that this psalm also has an end time message. Jesus coming in power and glory, coming to open up the ancient doors which are closed, and coming (in with power and glory) to claim what is His own.
The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein.
2 For He has founded it upon the seas,
And established it upon the waters.3 Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord?
Or who may stand in His holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,
Nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive blessing from the Lord,
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Who seek Your face. Selah7 Lift up your heads, O you gates!
Psalm 24
And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory?
The Lord strong and mighty,
The Lord mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O you gates!
Lift up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.

The Lord of hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah
We started off by saying that the earth is the Lord’s and that the fullness thereof has been used up by a usurper who’s taking it over. God’s purposes bring it back to Himself and that’s going to happen when Jesus returns.
That is why he says,
7 Lift up your heads, O you gates!
Psalm 24
And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
Those doors which are trying to shut Jesus out are going to be burst open when Jesus returns in power and great glory, and Jesus is going to have the last word over what takes place on this planet, praise the Lord!

Who’s the King of glory? It is Jesus. He is the suffering servant, but He is also the King of Kings, the Lord of lords. When He comes back, He is coming back as King of kings and Lord of lords, and He is coming back also as the Lord of hosts, the Lord of armies (which is Hebrew for ‘a lot of houses’). And the word is in the plural form of the Hebrew word צְבָא tsava [ṣǝbāʾ] which means a ‘host’ or also means an ‘army’; in fact, that is the name for the Israeli Defense Force צְבָא הַהֲגָנָה לְיִשְׂרָאֵל Tsva ha-Hagana le Yisra’el [ṣǝbāʾ hahăgānâ lǝyiśrāʾēl] in Hebrew.

Who is the King of glory?—
Psalms 24
the LORD of hosts,
He is the King of glory! Selah.
He is coming back this time as the King of armies, the Lord of hosts, the Lord of the armies, mighty in battle.

And when He comes back, you are going to do battle with the powers of darkness which are gathering together according to Revelation for the last battle at Jerusalem. The Antichrist, the false prophet, and the devil are all coming together for the last battle.
When Jesus comes back, it is hardly going to be a contest. He comes back with all power and He blasts in with power and sets the people free in His Second Coming.
But this is also relevant to Jesus’ First Coming. In His first coming Jesus said to Peter:
17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Matthew 16.17-19
When Jesus came the first time, He came to build His church and, through the church, He can open up the door to heaven and give us the keys of the Kingdom.
When He comes the second time, He is coming, this time, as King of kings. We will read the scripture in Revelation 19.
KING OF KINGS AND
Revelation 19.11-16
LORD OF LORDS.
Do you believe that is going to happen?
The Bible says it is going to happen. It says,
“Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”
Acts 1:11
The same Jesus who ascended into heaven is going to come again but in a different form. He is going to come this time as King of kings and Lord of lords. He will come this time as He really is, the all-powerful One, Son of God, with all the power of God at His disposal. He is going to come And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.
So, who are those armies? Well, there are different beings who may be part of that Army. Maybe the angelic hosts are going to come with Him, but also it speaks about ‘the armies clothed in fine linen white and clean’.
If you go up a few verses, you’ll see that, at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, there will be the saints who are clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! 7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” 8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
Revelation 19.6-8
I believe that the saints will be those who have been caught up to meet with the Lord at the Rapture of the church, and who come back in glorified bodies with Jesus at Armageddon and take with Him take control of the Earth at His Second Coming.

It is a pretty exciting prospect because, if you believe in Jesus, it is going to happen. And you are going to be there.
I can’t tell you all about how it’s going to take place or when it’s going to take place, but the Bible says it is going to take place and, even if you die before it, you are going to be resurrected and you will still be there when Jesus comes back.

Therefore, we have this glorious prospect.
It also says Jesus is going to rule the world with a rod of iron and He’s going to have this robe with His name: King of kings and Lord of lords written on it.
That will be the fulfilment of what it says in Psalm 24 about the King of glory coming in in power and great glory.
Therefore, it is all about Jesus. He is the One who opens the door for us to come into the presence of God. He is the One who forgives our sins. He is the One who opens the door so that we can have fellowship with God, but He is also the One who is coming back in power and glory to put the world to rights.
Therefore, what do we do when we see the world in its present state? We put our trust in Jesus.
What do we do when you see our lives, which are often far away from God and where we often fail Him? We confess our sins and ask Jesus to forgive us and cleanse us with the blood of the Lamb Jesus, and to put us right with Him, to then to carry on with our lives, to glorify Him.

It is all about Jesus because Jesus is the Messiah, He is the Saviour, He is the King of glory, He is the Saviour, and He is the Lord. He is the One who can bring you and me to God, that He may give our lives purpose and meaning, and give us hope in His resurrection so we will be resurrected and we will go on with Him for all eternity.
What should you do? Obviously, you should believe in Jesus. What do you do with the rest of your life? You use your life to glorify God and to spread the Word, that other people might be brought in to the Kingdom of God.
Praise the Lord! The King of glory is coming in power and great glory, and Jesus is coming back, this time, not as the suffering servant but as King of kings and Lord of lords. And He is going to have power to put the whole world to rights. Even the mess you see in the world today will not go on forever. Jesus is going to come back and, for a thousand years according to Revelation, He is going to rule the world before the new heavens and new earth are created by God in which there’ll be righteousness forever.

This is a wonderful prospect. If you don’t believe in Jesus, it is a terrible prospect.
I guess all of you do believe in Jesus, but it is just possible that someone may watch this talk and need to repent and believe the Gospel.
Now is the day of salvation. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.
Let us have a word of prayer and we will sing our final hymn.
Lord would you thank You for your Word. We thank You for the truth of the scriptures. We thank You that the battle is the Lord’s and that You are going to have the last word.
Meantime Lord, we pray You help us to come into Your presence we acknowledge that we all do fall short of Your glory, we need Your blood of atonement to bring us to God, to give us those clean hands, and pure heart that we may have fellowship with You. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
Maranatha, come Lord come…if not today then tomorrow please!
