Modern Israel is seen as the answer to anti-Semitism. If the Jews have a country of their own, they are no longer a people without a land. They can have their own country, express themselves as Jews, and defend themselves from those who seek to destroy them. This is the fulfilment of scriptures like Ezekiel 36, Jeremiah 31.
