Another big way, and I’m going to speak about this last one although there are others. The big question on identity is your sexuality.
Since the sixties and the ‘free love movement’, we’ve had a great emphasis on sex. People have pride in their sexual press, they indulge multiple partners and and they are pleased about it.
Do you think it’s good we have celebrities who indulge in all of this, and put their images on the screens and in the newspapers? They are the images that people want to follow, movie stars with beautiful bodies. Images people want to follow which actually bring you into condemnation.
Because, in reality nobody, well, not many people have such beautiful bodies and often, especially young girls, feel condemned when they look at their bodies and they think ‘I’m not up to the image which the world is projecting‘. So, the whole thing becomes a way of putting yourself down. It makes you unhappy about yourself.
10 Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies. …26 She opens her mouth with wisdom,

And on her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She watches over the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her:

But you excel them all.”
30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in the gates.
We also we have a rejection of biblical values on family and sexual behaviour. We have the indoctrination of children with immoral sexual education encouraging them to experiment with both heterosexual and homosexual practices which are condemned in the Bible.
This is being pushed on our children by getting them to define themselves according to an agenda which is against biblical family values and replace them with a new identity which is changeable according to how you feel.
So, if you feel if you’re a man, if you’re a boy and you feel like you’re a girl then, you can become a girl through the transgender movement. It’s back to creating your own identity based on your feelings, on what you find within yourself which of course conflicts with biblical teaching, especially in the areas of sexual matters which in the Bible call for chastity before marriage, faithfulness within marriage, and modesty in dress, Etc.
Now we’re coming into Gay Pride month where you’re going to have people marching in pride over the fact that they’re homosexual. I don’t know if you know that ‘gay’ actually means G. A. Y. or ‘Good As You’. So, their lifestyle, they’re saying, is as valid our lifestyle. It is valid as a normal sexual lifestyle. ‘Therefore you should not criticize us, don’t put us down‘.
This is problematic for us is because the Bible shows us that God designed humans to be heterosexual. He designed men to be attracted to women, and women to be attracted to men and, out of that attraction, to produce babies and to continue the human race. It’s part of God’s programming into Genesis as we’re going to see in a moment.
Therefore, the promotion of gay rights, homosexuality, and transsexuality is against God’s created order.
However, if you say that publicly, again, you’re going against the identity movement and you can be in trouble.
Transgender people want you to use the pronouns of their choice according to their chosen gender. So, if they’re a born a girl and they want to be a boy, you’ve got to call them ‘he, his, and him’. If you call them ‘she’ then, you are insulting their identity. Equally for girls also, you can call them ‘they’, which I could never quite get my head around because ‘they’ is plural and the question is ‘Do they think they’re two people? Are they schizophrenic or what is it if you actually are one person?
You have this massacring of the English language taking place which I think is quite serious. I used to be an English teacher, and I’m very keen on people using the English language properly. I don’t know if you read the book ‘1984’, but one of the things which government does in 1984 is to create a new language called ‘New Speak’ which eliminates the ‘old speak’ and is a way of indoctrinating people into the ideology of Ingsoc which is the ‘English socialism’ view of Big Brother and becomes a way of controlling people.
Languages do evolve, but we don’t change it deliberately. To change the meaning of words in a language is a very serious matter. In the process, you’re creating all kinds of confusion.
So, if you say something negative about this whole agenda, you’re guilty of homophobia or transphobia and, as a result, you may lose your job.
You may also be subject to all kinds of online abuse like Joshua Sutcliffe who was a school teacher, a Christian who lost his job for calling a trans person by the pronoun of their birth not the pronoun of their choice.
And the fact is that all this is a assertion is as a valid identity is against God’s law which condemns homosexual practice as wrong.
Let’s read a passage from one from Romans chapter 1:
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonour their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
Romans 1:24-27
There is not much doubt about what that passage means. It’s a condemnation of homosexual practice. There are some liberals who want to remove this passage from the Bible, even make it illegal for preachers to use it.
I think Steve Chalke who used to be an Evangelical is definitely not now an Evangelical. He said that we should cut this passage out of the Bible.
6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
Galatians 1.6-9
That’s something you’re not allowed to do, you’re not allowed to change what’s written in the Word of God. It is given by inspiration of God.
We see this is also another way in which the identity movement is going against God and the Bible. It’s a big problem for us, and it’s something which we have to have an answer to.
18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Revelation 22.18-19
