So, we’re looking tonight at this month in prophecy and focusing entirely on the Israel/Iran war which has just taken place, with a ceasefire after 12 days. During that time, Israel attacked Iran’s nuclear sites. America joined in with its heavy bombers, attacking the main nuclear sites, and it’s been a roller coaster of emotions about what’s been going on.
I got a few notes here from Amir Tsarfati who is an Israeli Messianic Jewish believer, well tuned up with what’s going on there. I’ll just read some of the things he says has happened before we get into some of the Biblical stuff. He says,
“Over the days ahead, Israel dominance continued. They were able to fly 1,200 journeys covering more than 1,000 miles each way. The Israeli Air Force launched thousands of munitions destroying more than 80 anti-aircraft batteries and 250 missile launchers using precision weapons that were aimed based on masterful intelligence from in-country, Mossad agents. The IDF picked off politicians military leaders and scientists.
Iran didn’t just sit there and take it. They immediately responded with 100 missiles and 100 UAVs. Most were taken down some made it through. Across the entire conflict, 28 civilians one soldier were killed while the initial Iranian retaliation was strong the numbers of missiles gradually dwindled as the days went on this wasn’t due to a lack of munitions they have thousands of missiles stored up they just didn’t have the launchers needed to send them due to the IIAF’s brilliant targeting of Iran’s offensive capabilities.
That, in itself, was quite remarkable actually that they knocked out all the launches so they couldn’t uh launch the missiles eventually Israel came to a place where it had done about all it could to halt Iran’s nuclear program it wasn’t enough although all the nuclear sites have been damaged to a great extent the key weapon centers at Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan were hidden deep underground out of reach of Israel’s munitions the only weapons could reach sites that were protected were massive ordinance penetrators or bunker busters which only America has.”
And he goes on to say how Trump joined in dropped 12.of these bombs on the Fordow facility seventh dropped another two on Natanz same time a submarine fired 30 Tomahawk missiles at Natanz and Isfahan the results were catastrophic to the sites and Iran’s nuclear program.
You’ve seen a lot of news saying they didn’t do much damage but, according to this and according to Iran’s Foreign Minister, they did massive damage and hopefully that’s done enough to at least prevent them from going any further.
They’ve also succeeded in damaging their ability to shoot off missiles. As you know, they’ve already defeated most of Iran’s proxies in the region: Hamas and the Hoothies in Yemen. They’ve still got to finally destroy the nuclear program.
Apparently, with the US leading the way, the path is now open to ensure that Iran will tow the line when it comes to nuclear production. So they’ve got to agree with certain things to do with the production of nuclear weapons. If they don’t do that then, it’s possible that America will hit again or Israel will hit.
So, we’ve got a program which has been very in some ways very successful for Israel, and some are saying that Israel has actually won a victory in all of this.
The Jewish Chronicle was quite upbeat in their lead article in this week’s Jewish Chronicle. It said ‘it’s succeeded in cutting off the head of the snake’ which is Iran. It also said, ‘much of the Arab world whatever the official communications say ‘quietly hopes Israel succeeds’ .
The collapse or crippling of the Islamic Republic would not just save the region and the world from the regime’s terror and aggression. It would mark the death militant Islamism as a global force.
It goes on to say how, as a result of this, Israel could be changing the whole Middle East as the threat from Iran is broken. Remember that Iran is not Arabs and most of the Arabs resent the fact that Iran has been moving into their territory, into Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and other places and they really want them out.
So, they don’t want Iran to have any more influence in the area. If, as a result of this war, that has been accomplished, it makes it possible then for the Arab countries to come to some kind of agreement with Israel. That’s what Israel is hoping for.
So, we have two possibilities which will come out of this, which we’ll look at tonight. Both have relevance to prophecy:
One is that there’ll be a peace scenario and somewhere along the line if the Bible prophecy is going to be fulfilled, there is one prophecy which has not yet been fulfilled (several which haven’t actually) but one in particular which is relevant to this subject which is Daniel 9:27 which speaks about Israel making a strong covenant or a much stronger covenant being made with Israel for a period of one week (which is equivalent to seven years). We’re going to look at that a bit later on in the talk.
So you have a possibility of some kind of a temporary peace coming out of this.
The other one of course, is the war scenario, and some are saying that Iran will continue with its progress towards nuclearization, its aggression, and that eventually it will all come to the War of Gog and Magog which you have prophesied in Ezekiel 38-39, which we will also look at later on in the this talk.
