Isaiah 27 – A Song for the Redemption of Israel

Trevor Stewart-Sweet

If you remember, in Isaiah chapter 25, we spoke about a Song of Praise for God’s Kingdom. In chapter 26, we saw a Song of Praise for Salvation from the tribulation. And this morning, I want to look at chapter 27, a Song for the Redemption of Israel as we look ahead to Israel’s Redemption.

Was Psalm 22 prophecy fulfilled in Matthew 27?

My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?Why are You so far from helping Me,And from the words of My groaning? Psalm 22.1 Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” Matthew 27.45...

Who/what is the Glory of God?

“For thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the...

17 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go. 18 Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, And your righteousness like the waves of the sea. 19 Your descendants also would have been like the sand, And...

Job 1 – Why do Christians suffer?

Clayton Wells We ourselves are comforted by God as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings; so, through Christ, we share abundantly in comfort too. If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation, and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings we suffer. It’s probably been one of the biggest blessings in...
