Okay, we’re going to look at This Month in Prophecy.
Let’s just have a word of prayer,
Lord, we thank you that we do have the Word of God. We thank you that it’s true. We thank you that, as we see all the things going on in the world, many of which are terrible, that we can look up and lift up our heads because we know that Jesus is coming and that you have the answer and that you are reigning on high, and that you’re coming soon.
We thank you for the hope we have in you. Help me to speak, guide me by your Spirit. May your will be done in this place. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
I was going to do a talk about what’s happening in Israel Iran the Middle East and also what’s happening in this country, but there’s so much happening in Middle East that I’m going to just do that this week. And next week, we’ll look at some of the things happening in this country.
I did have the title for the ‘this country events’ as “The writing on the wall”, and I think when we look around, we can see so many sins which are signs of ‘the writing on the wall’
25 “And this is the inscription that was written:
MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.
26 This is the interpretation of each word. MENE: God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it; 27 TEKEL: You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting; 28 PERES: Your kingdom has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.” 29 Then Belshazzar gave the command, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a chain of gold around his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom. Daniel 5:5-31
‘You’ve been weighed in the balances‘ it says, ‘and found wanting and the kingdom is divided and handed over to others‘.
I don’t know if you know that yesterday at Glastonbury a group called ‘Bob Vylan’ stood up on the stage and the guy said, he got people to repeat “Free Palestine” then, “Death, death to the IDF”, and then, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”
“Inshallah, death to the IDF” publicly being said. ‘Death to the IDF’ means death to the soldiers of the IDF, the IDF which is defending Israel. So, basically what he’s saying is ‘death to Israel’. And a whole crowd of young people, hippies, all nice peace-loving young people repeated the same message: “Death to Israel”.
What’s that doing to our country? So many things which are coming on this country are just shaking our fists at God, bringing the judgment of God upon us. And it’s very sad but it’s happening now. We can’t escape from it, but we can stand up for the truth in Jesus the Messiah which is what we try and do in this place here.
So, I just pray about that because it really, really sickened me when I saw that stuff.
Lord, we just are so grieved at what we saw happening at Glastonbury yesterday. And we saw all those young people shouting “Death to Israel” basically. It’s a crime to incite death publicly and yet Lord, it’s happening in our country. And we know that we are provoking you to anger in this nation.
We pray Lord for your mercy, that you’ll forgive us and that you’ll deliver us from the evil which is coming upon us.
And we pray for Israel that you’ll deliver and protect them, Lord we pray.
And we pray for your wisdom and guidance as we consider these matters now. In Jesus’ Name, amen. Amen.
