One final thing: AI and quantum computers. Does anybody know how to use a quantum computer? No. But they’re being developed and there are supercomputers which are trillions of times faster than your normal computer.
The Chinese have just published a paper highlighting a significant breakthrough in the construction of these computers.
One of the things which it says is: ‘the advent of quantum computing threatens the security of algorithms which are used to protect passcodes using cryptographic algorithms based on mathematical problems that are computationally difficult for classical computers to solve’ efficiently.
I don’t really know what that means. You’ve got a password on your computer, I guess. Haven’t you? It’s probably a simple one like
mine. I won’t tell you what it is, but it’s quite easy to work out. But if you have a very important government document, you then have a hugely complicated password which nobody can work out by any means. And even the cleverest computer can’t work them out. The whole the point of encryption is to get these very advanced encryptions so that you can defend things like banks, like military institutions, like health care systems and all that kind of stuff, so you can avoid cyber crime, people trying to invade your space and take your secrets from you.
Is cyber crime happen happening? Yes, it is. And they’re developing it. Russia’s pretty active on it, and they use cyber crime to attack systems. If successful, they get into a system which can be attacked and they then can just take away your electricity, your water, your food, etc., close down your society if necessary. Because of the vulnerability we have, since everything is accessible through the Internet, and because of all the computerization phenomenon, they can do all these things.

The current world order is based on Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD). MAD is the fear of total destruction and the idea no one can win a war between two nuclear powers. For 70 years, it’s all that’s kept us from World War III. But MAD won’t keep the peace forever. It’s based on technology. And that technology is on the verge of becoming obsolete. Like all previous military eras, the era of MAD will soon come to an end.

To work, MAD relies on certainty. A nation must be certain it can launch a nuclear attack if threatened. Otherwise, an enemy nation could prevail in a first-strike scenario. Likewise, the enemy nation must be certain it faces total annihilation if it launches a first strike. This certainty of “mutual assured destruction” is what’s kept the world from destroying itself for over seven decades.
Unfortunately, new technologies will soon eliminate this uncertainty. For example, nuclear-armed submarines are the backbone of a nation’s nuclear deterrent. A single nuclear-armed sub can carry dozens of nuclear warheads several times more powerful than the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Such submarines patrol the planet’s vast oceans where they’re more than able to evade detection from enemy nations. At the very least, they create uncertainty in the eyes of the enemy, who can never be sure about their ability to disarm every such threat.
But quantum computing will change that. It will accelerate the development of new technologies, such as quantum sensors. With powerful quantum sensors, a nation could detect every submarine on the planet. Once detected, those submarines could be disabled using other new technologies. For instance, quantum computing will also enable advanced modelling of chemical reactions. This will prove critical in the development of molecular manufacturing.
With molecular manufacturing, even a small nation could quickly develop legions of tiny swarming drones capable of disarming and destroying any conventional weapon of today. The first nation to develop advanced quantum computers will have the inside edge in the development of these next-generation technologies.
I wonder whether this is what it describes in Revelation 9 about the locust from the bottomless pit that swarm and torment people on the earth and whose leader is called Abaddon or Apollyon.
3 Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5 And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. 6 In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.
7 The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. 8 They had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. 9 And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots with many horses running into battle. 10 They had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails. Their power was to hurt men five months. 11 And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon. Revelation 9.3-11
From a technical point of view, there’s then no need for Israel to have its Iron Dome, because the computers will disable it before they’re even fired. Now, imagine someone gets hold of this power (he’s given power by Satan to use it), develops this technology before anyone else has got it. Put together, could this be how Revelation 13 will come to pass?
In Revelation 13, you read:
2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marvelled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” Revelation 13.2-4
But you get to a position where you can’t make war with this guy because he’s got control of all the missiles anyway, and he’s got the means to neutralize them. So, you have to submit to him. You would think he was pretty powerful, wouldn’t you? He would also be able to use that power to gain control of the financial system then, control people through AI.
The most powerful quantum computer also then communicate with people to worship the Antichrist or the Devil or his image of the Beast as God and then control their ability to buy and sell which means to participate in society.
Now, am I being fanciful or is that a possibility? When you think about all this technology being unleashed, and you
ponder about how it could be used in the hands of a bad man, what they could do with it, it could change the way in which everything operates in this world. It could lead to the thing which we’re all familiar with: the false prophet who is,
15 … granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. Revelation 13.11-18
The famous 666 prophecy. Now, in past generations, you could not understand how that could even conceivably come to pass. In our generation however, it’s pretty hard to see how it could come to pass. But given some of the information I’ve just shared with you, could you see that it is possible, that it could come to pass in the coming days?
With all this advanced technology and it getting into the hands of a bad man, the rise of quantum computing, artificial intelligence, drone swarms, and other emerging technologies could offer the power to destabilize the present world order and give the one who controls the coming one a huge power which no one will be able to resist.
Many people might see it as a ‘good thing’, bringing an end to conflict, bringing an end to economic insecurity. They may embrace the one who brings it in as a saviour, but it will soon crumble and lead to a time of Great Tribulation.
Such a Great Tribulation that if God didn’t cut it short, no flesh will be saved. This means that the idea of such a conflict, the possibility of what Revelation prophecies is in view.
It also means that Jesus is coming. So, the good news is that all this stuff that is going on doesn’t phase God. He knows that He has an answer to it which is going to be the return of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and great glory.
We also have the big question: ‘Does the Rapture come first or is it the Tribulation that comes first?‘ Well, that He is going to decide that one.
I do believe there’s good evidence that the Rapture comes first. In which case, we go before the Tribulation. If not, we go through the Tribulation. You have got to hunker down and hope that you can survive in the midst of great trouble. It appears that people will be able to survive. It won’t all go the Devil’s way. There’ll be many people who come to Faith In Jesus during that time. So there will be a resistance but it will be a hard time.
But, above all this, is a sign that Jesus is coming and that is a sign that we need to be ready for His coming. We need to repent and believe the Gospel and whatever your view about the Rapture and the Tribulation is, the answer to how you’re going to cope with this, how you going to face face the future, is that, if you have belief, faith in Jesus, you have a good future, and, if you don’t, you have a bad future.
Therefore, it is very simple what you must do to find the answer to these questions. Put your trust in Jesus, repent of your sins, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and be saved.
All these signs are coming together which remind us that Jesus is coming. He said,
28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.
Luke 21.28
When you see all these signs converge then look up and lift up your heads because your redemption draws near. Jesus is coming, so take advantage of the time we have left. Go out and spread the Gospel. Tell people that Jesus is coming and that He has already come.

Jesus is coming and He is going to have the last word when He comes. He will deal with the Beast and the false prophet in a moment. They’ll be thrown straight into the Lake of Fire. The Devil will take a bit longer; he is going to be cast first into a Abyss, during the Tribulation period, then released at the end of it and finally thrown into the Lake of Fire for all eternity.
All who are with him are going to the Lake of Fire as well.
So, you don’t want to be part of the Devil’s system; you want to be part of God’s, be with God, and go with to be with Him forever in glory, with Jesus Christ.
So believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. Yeshua HaMashiach, He is the Messiah, He is coming soon. Believe in Him. Let’s just have a word of prayer:
Lord, we thank you for your Word. We thank you for the truth of your Word and, as we see all these things happening in the world which can be alarming and even frightening, we thank you Lord that you tell us to look up and lift up our heads because our Redemption draws near.
Jesus is coming. We thank you that you have the answer to all of this stuff, and that you have the answer and that you are going to bring peace and justice to the world, to Israel, to the nations, to the Arab world, to the Muslims, to all those who repent and believe the Gospel, and even to the church.
And we pray Lord that you will revive your church in these last days, and sweep out the apostasy and the false church, and strengthen the true church which remains to preach your Word in these days. We pray in Jesus name, amen. Amen
